Projects & Explorations
Independent projects, prototypes, and concept notes exploring pre-payment risk awareness, scam patterns, and dispute operations.
RISX
An exploratory prototype for evaluating pre-payment risk signals.
The Problem
Most consumer fraud protections and dispute processes apply only after money has already been transferred. Once funds move through instant payment rails, recovery is often difficult or impossible.
The Approach
RISX is an independent project I am building to explore whether presenting simple risk indicators — such as account age discrepancies, mismatched recipient details, or high-urgency keywords — could help users pause and double-check before completing an irreversible transfer.
Concepts Being Explored
- Heuristic Signal Checks: Testing simple rules that compare transaction contexts against common scam indicators.
- Contextual Warnings: Exploring how to show concise, non-intrusive warnings when potential risk patterns appear.
- Calibrated Friction: Experimenting with deliberate confirmation steps on high-risk transfers.
Kncok
A direction focused on organizing scam information and public fraud awareness.
The Problem
Scam methods change quickly, but public warnings are often generic or buried in complex advisory notices. People affected by scams frequently share reports in isolated forums where the insights do not reach others in time.
The Approach
Kncok is an umbrella direction I am developing to explore how scam incidents could be broken down, categorized, and presented as practical, searchable reference material for the public.
Areas of Exploration
- Pattern Categorization: Developing simple templates to describe how common scams initiate, progress, and conclude.
- Educational Breakdowns: Writing accessible post-incident walk-throughs that explain the mechanics without jargon.
- Cross-Platform Observation: Documenting how fraudsters move across social platforms, messaging channels, and payment apps.
Dispute Analysis & Operational Notes
Personal notes, checklists, and working approaches developed from dispute handling.
Operational Reality
Dispute handling involves balancing network rules, strict evidence timelines, merchant documentation, and customer context across diverse transaction types.
Application
I maintain structured checklists and analytical notes based on my day-to-day dispute work to help organize case reviews, track recurring dispute scenarios, and explore how tooling could better support front-line analysts.
Open to thoughtful discussions
If you are working on fraud operations, dispute handling, payment risk, or consumer safety, I am always glad to exchange notes and perspectives.
